Pokemon HeatGold & SoulSilver Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 1:39 PM 1 comments

Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are remakes of the classic pokemon game for the gameboy colour. Even tho is a remake, the game doesn't stray to far away from diamond and pearl. This game does have the same story of the classic gold and silver games, but a few minor changes.

This game looks roughly the same as Diamond and Pearl, but it does look nice to see the classic 8 bit game in 3D. There is lots of depth in the building, but nothing really new. But they've also included more audio, even tho at times it seems to be a bit awkward. The Pokemon still make those weird buzzing sounds, and make the pokemon all sound alike.

The gameplay still remains the same, the standard RPG game style that we all love. Things haven't changed that much, but they did add a few new gameplay additions. They have now brought back events that go in hand with the time, and provide more off track little missions. Also just like gold and silver there are two regions, allowing you to get 16 badges. But the biggest addition was the pokewalker, the pokewalker allows you to steer away from the DS and allows you to find and catch random pokemon. This cool and all but doesn't really affect the gameplay that much.

Overall this is a very good game, it sticks to the roots of the original Gold and Silver games. Even tho this is a remake its not some sloppy port, there are a good amount of tweaks to make this game feel new. This is a must buy for all pokemon fans, even those who used to play and haven't played the new Diamond and Pearl games. I rate this game 8.5/10.

Playstation Move Motion Controller

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 10:35 AM 0 comments

Earlier today Sony unveiled  there new motion controller, The Playstation Move. At the GDC 2010 conference, Sony gave out all the details for the new controller. This new controller is actually broken into two parts, very similar to the Wii.

This highly anticipated motion control system that translates your real world movements into video game moves. The controller with the blue ball is the main controller; with the home button, analog stick and 3 buttons. The second sub part is devoted to be a controller, with a D pad, analog stick on the back, and a few face buttons. The blue ball is actually a camera that captures your real life movements.

The Playstation Move will be released near the end of 2010, for a price of less than $100. There are 3 ways you buy the Move, you can buy it individually, or buy it as a bundle with another game and finally buy it with a new console. Sony also stated that some older games will be redone to for the Playstation Move, such games as Little Big Planet, and also new games like Socom 4.

This is really big News but I can't but help wonder that this is very similar to the Wii? To me this a more expensive Wiimote and nunchuck. There is no doubt this will be a hit, but can it compete with the Wii, since it's another $100 to buy it. While you can get the Wii for $200, you will have to pay around $400 for the PS3 and the Move. Almost twice as much, well Sony better make this the best damn invention ever otherwise I'm sticking with the Wii.

A change for Computer Gaming

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 12:17 PM 0 comments

OnLive, the on-demand, instant-play videogame service first revealed at last year's GDC, will launch on June 17, 2010. This will be available in 48 countries and will be accessible for both the PC and Mac. The service will cost $14.50 per month, and this will give you access to a huge library with such games as Mass Effect 2, Borderlands and much much more. The library will also be updated regularly and the first 25 000 users may also receive the first 3 months free of charge. This a huge step for online gaming, and there are also planning to bring this to multimedia TV's! I think this is fricking awesome, this is a huge step for gaming; having instant connection to all the games for a low price.  Games on Demand is already out there, but this a different take on this service and will probably be a great success.

Yakuza 3 Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 1:15 PM 0 comments

After being released in Japan a while back, Yakuza 3 finally hits American stores. Yakuza 3 is the Japanese version of Grand Theft Auto, and is a lot of fun to play. This bad ass fighter is a Japanese Mafia game, Kazuma has left the Mafia to care for his own orphanage. Later his old associate's become really irritated and threaten the kids, Kazuma has no choice but to kick some ass. The game really provides a solid story, and has lots of very interesting moments, making it a lasting appeal. Since this game was released a while back, the graphics are a bit outdated. There is nothing really special about the game, it does provide us with some nice cut scenes, but some area's of the game are really plain. The game does focus a lot on fighting, but the didn't do a lot of work on the environments. But this open world adventure does provide us with solid gameplay. They offer a lot of depth with the items and move combination's. This game does feel like a button smasher at times but is really fun to play, and I really enjoyed beating down some Japanese Mafia. The controls are pretty easy to understand and do provide enough depth to do really amazing combo's. Overall Yakuza 3 is a great game but would have been better if it were released earlier. I rate this game 8/10.

God of War 3 Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 4:26 PM 0 comments

We have been all waiting for the release of God of War 3, and trust me it's worth the wait. God of War 3 lives up to all our expectations, but it does have a few minor issues. The new addition to franchise is more epic, brutal and bloody, and right off the bat you notice the best visuals you will see in any game. This game looks sick, the environments are beautiful and looks like something out of Lord of the Rings. There is so much detail, you will have to play the game through many times to notice everything. Fratos is back, and is meaner and badder than ever before. I believe Fratos is one of the best looking character ever, never has a character looked more appealing. But some of the other characters don't fit, and look awkward. The story this time around is fun and amazing but the plot is not well done. There isn't much there to connect all the pieces, it is really hard to get the full story. But there is a lot great boss battles, the battles are more epic and there is plenty of action right off the bat right till the end. The gameplay hasn't really much changed since God of War 2. But that is what has made God of War great, the mechanics are probably the best for any action adventure game. But there are a few minor tweaks, now you can switch your weapons during the battle and while you are preforming a combo to provide more devastating moves. Also there are more weapons, and this time they are useful, but the four main weapons are very similar, they are just variants of the blade before. Overall this is a fantastic game, this is definitely a contender for game of the year. The story is really the only problem I had, but it doesn't take a whole lot away from the game. I rate this game, a 9/10.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Tips

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 1:46 PM 0 comments

Most of us enjoy Call of Duty, because it's hard for most of us playing as a team. But seriously who doesn't enjoy knifing their own team. But don't let team play scare you from playing Bad Company 2, we have some tips that can help you improve your game. First of all when you enter a game you will be asked to join a squad, or go by yourself, I suggest to join a squad otherwise you will get raped. So stop trying to be the hero! One of the benefits of being on a squad is pin pointing where you will respawn. You can spawn on you other team mate and see how they are holding up, this can be used to help your team push through. Also you can use this to plan sneak attacks, usually snipers would get pwned, but respawning near the back and have your other members spawning on you can give you the upper hand while sniping. Another thing to remember is to have a variety of classes on your squad, this is key to winning. Having a team full of snipers isn`t that great, sure its fun for the first 20 seconds but wait until you get raped. This is also great to gaining experience, healing other people while you are the medic will get the same experience as killing someone. Just remember to stay true to your class, and you can also gain more experience playing as a team. Completing objectives and helping each other out is the best way to gain experience. Also take advantage of destrucable environments, if you have more fire power keep your distance and blow them away. Finally communicate with your team, do this with voice chat and set up targets for your team. You can warn them and help them take down huge vehicles. Hopefully this helps you to play as a team, and maybe not suck, but the most important part is DON`T BE A HERO!

The Gay and Religious all coming to Xbox

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 1:00 PM 1 comments

Microsoft is making a few changes to the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy. This allows  users to include mention and information of their sexual orientation, religion, nationality, and race in their gamertags and user profiles. Well this is nice and dandy, but I already got suspended for this.  Before this update, many of us would start fights and conflicts discriminating others, so I guess it's okay to do it now? Well the rules might have changed you can only use politically correct terms, "lesbian," "gay," "bi," "transgender," or "straight". Any thing else like "fag" is still inappropriate. Maybe we might see more people like "gaygamer103", people may not be afraid to express themselves anymore. But you may still get banned if you bio or gamertag is still offensive to others. Well this is a pretty nice update, maybe we can take advantage of it for the time being and make gamertags like "ikillgays213", naw I'm just kidding. Finally it's nice to see Microsoft loosening up a little bit, and maybe they can make things cheaper too.

Portal 2 Update

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 12:47 PM 0 comments

Since Valve has confirmed the release of Portal 2, Valve has now given us some more information. The game is now set to release on the Xbox 360, but so far no information on the other consoles so far. Finally Valve has confirmed that there will be co-op in the new game, and more new game modes. Well this is a start, and hopefully we get more information soon.

More Video Games For Womens?

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 11:15 AM 0 comments

Would you believe that half the U.S. gamers over the age of 13 are female. More and more video game industries are now targeting the female gamer market ages 13-34. They are incorporating more style and fashion into their games. Atari's is working on a new game "Project Runaway", a fashion game for women of all ages to take the world of design into there own hands. Also Nintendo released "style sawy" a fashion boutique game for the DS, which is sponsored by Beyonce. The increase in female gaming is do the interactive interface of the Wii and the DS, I guess girls are too lazy to learn how to play games like COD. Well I hope they don't starting playing online it would be awkward talking trash to a 13 year old girl.

Valve for the past week has been flirting around with the rumor of releasing Portal 2. Now Valve has finally confirmed Portal 2 is in the making and will be hitting stores this holiday season. There was no word on what platforms it will be on or any other information. After playing the first game, I am pretty stoked about this game. As we more information is released I'll let you guys know.

MLB 10 The Show Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 4:28 PM 0 comments

MLB the show last year was a really impressive game, and this years game only adds on to its success. This years game is by far the most realistic game in the series, there is plenty of emotion expressed through out the game. With the beautiful visuals, you get great cut scenes of the pitcher throwing his glove if you just blew the game in the dieing moments of the game. The games does provide great presentation, but the commentary could use a lot of work, there is a lot of repetitive phrases that you will hear through out the same game, these guys really sound like robots and not that good kind either. Maybe they will fix this next year. The gameplay is pretty much the same from last years game, but do have some minor additions. The batting mechanics remain almost the same, but they have made it much more easier and simpler depending on the difficulty you have set it to. The pitching has remained the same as well, but this year they incorporated fatigue, and it plays a huge factor at the end of the game, providing a realistic feel. Another great mechanic they've added is how you attempt a pick off. But this years game has a lot of issues with the AI, there are many bugs with how the computer reacts. The runners are to aggressive, the ball is over thrown and many more problems. This year they have brought back the home run derby, finally took them long enough. MLB the show still has franchise mode, Road to the Show, and Rivals and Manager mode.  But for the most part they remain the same. The franchise mode still offers a lot of depth, more customizable rules. and now offers a helpful transaction handbook for newbs who don't know the rules to the game. But more AI problems occur in this game mode, the computer makes many questionable trades and decisions. Also the Road to the show remains the same but this year you have the ability to call the game as the catcher, the mechanics are very similar to the pitching, and very fun to play. Also Sony has added more catching and pitching drills, and these are very beneficial since it offer many more experience points to help your character develop. Overall this game is very similar to last years, but has a lot of content to offer and a few minor tweaks. The mechanics are awesome, making this game very enjoyable. I rate this game 8.5/10.

Socom 4

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 1:23 PM 0 comments

With the release of Bad Company, Modern Warfare, and MAG Zipper Interactive's has confirmed another big shooter for the fall release of 2010. Socom 4 makes it return, but this time on the PS3. This new game will be doing something new that the series has never done before, creating a story mode. Socom games have been heavily multiplayer based, but never had a story before. The new story mode will still incorporate all the multiplayer game styles; squad based, realistic, tactical and obviously third person. Zipper reported to have working very hard on making this a great story. You play as Ops Commander who is in charge of  a 5 person NATO special forces squad. Right away you learn that the other NATO forces have been annihilated, and you and your team have to go sort this mess out. Your 4 other team members: Schweitzer, Wells, Chung, and Forty-five ( the first girl in the series) have a huge task to accomplish, since Zipper stated this game is no "cakewalk". The story unfolds over a 6 day period, which is broken up into two main acts. Also Zipper stated there will be 14 missions, and this will provide about 12 hours of playtime, and this is amazing compared to the other story modes in other big shooters. The story takes place in South East Asia, but no longer are the battles fought on beaches and forests, but you go through many different cities and destructible environments.
Socom 4 will also deliver graphics and presentation wise, they have incorporated cut scenes that blend in and out of gameplay making for a more believable story. Also there have been some new additions to enhance the gameplay. First of all the AI is just as smart as you, they will use suppressors, they will take cover and try to flank you and if not killed in time they may even drop an air-strike on your head! Finally a brand new addition to this game is the new command mode. This will allow you to give your team instructions for both attacking and movement. While holding down a button a menu screen will pop up giving you a variety of options to choose from. Also command mode is based on real time and you can only perform movements based on what you can see. So far there has nothing been mentioned about the multiplayer other than it will be 32 players online. But so far so great, the story mode seems to be a great addition, and if the multiplayer is any thing like Socom 3, I'm sure it will be an amazing game.

What's Next for Call of Duty?

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 12:51 PM 0 comments

As we all know there will be an annual release of a Call of Duty game, but we do not know who will be making them. But now we know that Treyarch will making this years Call of Duty game, which will be set to release at the end of 2010. Also the franchise announced that Sledgehammer will be making the 2011 game, the action adventure game developers. So this means we won't see another Infinityward game until 2012, so until than will we be seeing more world war games? Cause I'm seriously getting tired of those games. But Sledgehammer said it will continue the franchise action based shooter theme. This years game will be about the Vietnam War, and will have the same game engine and presentation as World at War. Finally the franchise wants to bring its game over to Asia, and make Call of Duty go international.

MLB 2K10 Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 1:12 PM 0 comments

The previous baseball game's haven't been that great, and is this years game any better? Well in some area's, yes and no. This year's game is better than lasts years game but it isn't what we expected it to be. This years presentation seems to be worse than last years. There are many sloppy graphic slips every now and than; also the batting and pitchers mound presentation is very crappy, and not well done. But with the decrease in graphics the games framerate is much, much better. The game finally runs smoothly and virtually no skips or lag. Also there are plenty of new additions to make the game feel fresh. MLB today incorporates all of today's stats and make the game feel very really. Also the commentary has gotten a nice upgrade, they no longer sound like robots, but talk about past games and real statistics. Along with this, they have introduce Hurry up, this is an option to skip all those boring and annoying cut scenes. Personally this is a major addition. The best addition is the new career mode. This is where you can create your own player and move up through the ranks and become a hall of famer. The idea of this is good, but there are a few problems. Starting off its impossible to hit the ball, and there isn't enough depth to make it feel real.  Finally the gameplay has gotten much better. The AI this time around is much smarter playing with you, but at times will overthrow the ball. 2K has also improved the batting and pitching mechanics, so its not that complicated. Last year at times it was impossible to pitch, seriously this game is rated E, for everyone even 5 year olds. The gameplay may have improved but there are plenty of new bugs, and these bugs appear quite frequently taking a lot away from the game.  Overall this game is pretty good, but could have been much better, for this year I  will stick to MLB the show. I rate this game 7/10.

New use for DSi Camera

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 12:50 PM 0 comments

Already out in Japan, DSi is offering a new way to play. After Nintendo's next quarter they will be releasing 3D hidden picture, made by Good Feet. This down-loadable puzzle game, will use the camera to detect how you tilt the system, and adjusts in real time. With this new feature it will allow you to shift your view to find hidden items in the game, and move objects in a new way. Also this new game has lots of content as well. There are many fairy tale theme's to unlock, and if you find your self stuck you can buy hints with the coins you collect as you play. This is only the beginning for new idea's for games. Not going to lie this seems pretty sick, hopefully they can do something productive with this. Finally this game will be available for 200 DSi points, and will be released soon.

Megaman 10 Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 11:50 AM 0 comments

Megaman returns with its 10th installment in the series, but this game feels like all the other games. Megaman 10 right off the bat looks like Megaman 9, this 8-bit game follows the same path as its predecessors. As always we have Dr.Wily but with a different take on the story. There are a bunch of mysterious robot attacks going on, a robotic virus called Roboenza, and this time Dr.Wily is not behind it, what? Other than this the game has remained the same with a few additions. The gameplay hasn't changed at all, it actually feels like your playing the first Megaman game. Even tho we only got a few additions, these new ad-dons are fantastic. Time attacks makes it returns, but this time with more depth and more challenging. To go along with Time attack, there is Challenge mode, its Megaman's version to get trophies and achievements, and is a really great addition. The challenges can be set to any difficulty and are clear cut, easy to understand. Finally the best addition is Proto Man, available in Megaman 9 as a DLC, Proto man is a playbale character right from the get go. But Proto Man has his disadvantages, he is much weaker and has balance issues. Overall this 8 level game is a great return to the series, it is much more challenging and just as good as the classics. But for a new comer, the presentation and the graphics won't be that appealing. For any Megaman fan this is a most buy, but for newcomers it may not be there first choice. I rate this game 8/10.

PS3 RROD?

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 11:05 AM 0 comments

Normally when we talk about system crashes we talk about the Xbox 360 and how the PS3 is better since it doesn't crash. But now me and many other PS3 owners are experiencing this really irritating bug; I cannot connect to the Playstation network, and it won't even let me play games OFFLINE! Playstation said the system is paralyzed, wtf? Also this is not just on the new slim but all different versions of the PS3. This is the biggest piece of shit, why the hell does this happen of all of sudden? You don't have to be connected to the internet to even be affected. Sony has released information, this may be related to the internal clock. That's it? Well they better fix this problem really fast cause this is preventing many us from playing Heavy Rain.

Save yourself with Video Games

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 3:09 PM 0 comments

As a child we always hear our parents tell us that video games are no good for us. But recent studies have shown people who have suffered a stroke can recover much faster by playing Wii. By any chance your parents have mentioned that to you while you were younger and have sadly suffered a stroke, nicely rub it in there face that playing video games will actually help them. After a person has had a stroke, there are more likely responed to virtual gaming, and the motions involved while playing will help them better there motor skills and regain there motion. In Canadian studies games such as Mamas Cooking house and Tenis have helped patients regain there motion faster than other tests and studies. In the medicine field doctors are now incorporating more virtual gaming, I guess patients progress faster with fun than having to go through surgery. Even tho this is not an official practise yet,  many doctors and organizations are pushing for it. So the next time you want to skip school, pretend your sick and you will have no choice but to play video games.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 9:46 PM 0 comments

There has been a lot of hype for this game, and the wait is finally over. Is Battlefield Bad Company 2 worth the wait, and can we compare it to Modern Warfare 2? Most definitely, Battlefield Bad Company 2 is what you expected it to be based off its predecessor. When first starting the campaign you are quickly reunited with some old friends, and yes they are as cheesy as before. But sad to say that the campaign isn't any better than before, it is much shorter and more linear. Not to say it is bad, the campaign is action packed but doesn't have the epic feel to it. Other than the campaign EA has put a lot of work into this game in making it look outstanding. The environments are more detailed and is just as destructive as before. The graphics are very well done, and the depth in the maps goes beyond belief. But the game has it awe inspiring looks taken away from its dreadful cinema-tic's, they move simply too fast and you will find your self shooting a machine gun from the worst possible angle. For the gameplay, Battlefield Bad Company 2 rocks. The controls are almost perfect, there is plenty of variety and there is a great multiplayer. This game offers a lot of content, there is more than enough missions and customization available. The truth be told, most of us probably won't buy the game for the campaign but strictly for the multiplayer. The multiplayer this time round is incredible. EA has added new features like perks, you will be able to add them to your class and on vehicles. This add more depth and strategy to this game. Also the maps are brilliant, they can hold up to 24 players online, and the destructive environment adds a whole new dimension to this game. The maps also change as the game progress. Finally the most important factor which separates this game from Modern Warfare 2 is the team strategy, in order to be successful and win you will need to act as a team and having a siting duck will surely hurt your chances of wining. This game is easily a contender with Modern Warfare for one of the best shooters out there, if you are more of a team player you will easily enjoy this game. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a great game and is very hard to compare to Modern Warfare with its different style of play. I rate this game 8.5/10.

Dante's Inferno Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 2:08 PM 0 comments

Dante's Inferno is a game based of classic literature, and actually feels like you are reading the poem Dante's Inferno. Dante's Inferno is Dante's journey through Hell, and is a faithful retelling of his adventure from the poem. Right off the bat you get the impression this game is very similar to the God of War games, but there are many things that make this game feel unique. This game looks similar to God of War at first, but as you play through the game you notice there is something "different". This game has beautiful graphics, but this game focuses it detail more on the torture, the gore, blood, violence and nudity. This makes the game actually feel like you are in Hell. But at times this presentation seems to get a bit bizarre,  at times you will be examining a nude blue girl on a table? There are also some sloppy scenes, but it doesn't take too much away from the gameplay. Through out the game you will be presented with many cut scenes, like some impressive CGI, detailed anime, and some comic strips. The gameplay is very similar to God of War games, making it not very unique. But there are some creative gameplay in this game, after killing of hundreds of enemies you will be presented with an option to parish or torture the enemy. This will also earn you unholy or holy power, using that to upgrade your weapons and power ups. This game provides good depth for weapons and power ups, decent customization but nothing really get hyped about. Just like God of War this game provides puzzles and challenges, but these challenges aren't that great. The puzzles are either too hard or too easy, and the way they presented them doesn't make you want to complete it any faster. Overall I enjoyed this game but I don't feel like it has reached it potential and they producer can create a really great game if they just fixed some minors issues. I rate this game 7/10.

Big Month for Guitar Hero and Band Hero

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 12:54 PM 0 comments

Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero will be receiving some hot new tracks this month. Every Thursday for the month of March Activision will be releasing 3 brand new songs packs. Some of the greatest hits from Blink-182, Ok Go, Flogging Molly, and the best 80's music such as Go-Go's and Night Ranger. March 4 their first track pack will include Blink-182, and their 3 most popular hits: First Date, All the Small Things, and Adam's Song. March 11th Ok Go will be hitting the marketplace with "here it goes again", "do what you want", and "get over it". On St.Patrick's Day they will release songs from the Irish band Flogging Molly, the pack will include: Requiem for a Dying Song, Paddy's Lament, and The Seven Deadly Sins.  Finally on March 25 they will bring back the 80's. With "Girls, Girls, Girls", "We got the beat", and "Sister Christian". All these songs will be available in a pack or individually. On the Xbox 360 it is 440 Microsoft points  for a pack, and $5.49 on the PS3, and 550 points for the Wii. Or buy each song individually for 160 Microsoft points, $1.99 on the PS3, and 200 points on the Wii. Personally I wish they would add more heavy rock songs, cause I believe that is what made Guitar Hero great, but otherwise this a great addition and cannot wait.

Alien vs Predator Starter Tips

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 6:22 PM 0 comments

The new Alien vs Predator game is a game that take times to become a master, mostly because you are not always the same character. Here are some helpful tips to get you started and keep up with everyone else. First of all you have the Marine; as a human character you will have to perfect the art of blocking other wise you will brutally get raped in close combat. If you time the block right it will leave your enemy vulnerable for a couple of seconds for you to finish him off. For general combat I suggest sticking with a SMG or preferably the shotgun, both are very effective on and offline. Playing as the predator in my opinion is much more fun, it is similar to the Left 4 Dead games playing as the zombies. Like in L4D you want to keep your distance, and try to stay on high ground and get a birds eye view on the pray. Being sneaky and stealth is the key to the game, as a predator you are much weaker than the humans and that will easily get you killed in head on combat with the enemy. To attack the enemy from a distance your best option is using the convee stick; if aimed properly it will issue a one hit K.O, and the beauty is you done have to go pick it up, keeping your self unseen. When you do decide to go in for head on combat you must do it fast and quick. Aliens have amazing speed and can attack on any angle making it easier to kill the enemy from behind and escaping unnoticed. Also while moving around never sit around, use walls ceilings and other objects to move, and I advice you use turbo and move as fast as possible. The aliens seem to have an advantage, but for humans I advice you move carefully be aware of your environment and never enter a room alone always make sure its safe, just through in a couple of grenades for safe measure. Hopefully these tips helped and make the game more competitive. Just remember, there might be something hide in the shadows.

Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 2:03 PM 0 comments

What happens when sonic and Sega's greatest characters come together? Well you get an awesome racer. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing is a very good game, but it is very very similar to Nintendo's Mario Kart. Right off the bat you will notice that this game is visually impressive, the player models are nice; the karts are awesome; and the maps are just impressive since it incorporates all of Sega's best games. The variety in this game is impressive, there are plenty of characters for you to choose from, ranging from sonic and his pals to Banjoo Koozie and even your avatars and mii's. Sonic All Star Racing looks wonderful and also plays nicely as well, the controls are very tight and neatly put together. Drifting and attacking are all easily performed and gives you complete control over your racer. Even tho all this is nice, the game feels like I have already played it many times before. Almost every single aspect of the game you have already seen in Mario Kart, from the blocks where you acquire weapons to the boost and jumps. This game is very fun and enjoyable but it seems like Mario Kart racer with a Sonic theme. Finally this game doesn't offer a lot of game modes like Mario Kart does, Grand Prix is fun but only single player and there are no battle modes. Overall this is a solid game whether it is a rip off of Mario kart, it is still fun and a solid racer for the ps3 and xbox, but as a wii fan I will stick to Mario. I rate this game 7.5/10.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be landing soon

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 12:54 PM 0 comments

Super Mario Galaxy 2 was finally given a release date. The sequel for one of Nintendo Wii`s best sellers has been set to be released May 23rd. Nintendo`s Vice president Cammie Dunaway released the info at the media event in San Fransisco, where a new trailer was released, showing off some of the games new features. The demo showcased Mario playing in several new maps, such a ghost theme, and a GIANT planet. Another thing mentioned was the controls will remain the same from its predecessor. Finally it looked like Yoshi will be making his return as well, and this time you can use the pointer to use his tongue. From the very little information available I already think this game is going to be awesome. As we approach May more updates will be made.

"Connection Interrupted" that is the only match I can seem to find now a days playing Modern Warfare. The games I do get to play in are extremely laggy, people will be glitching all the way across the map and somehow knife me from behind. At first I thought o it is a one time thing, but now more and more the games are become more laggy. This was anticipated to be the biggest seller, and Infinityward was aware of that, I would at least assume they would at least give us a game with decent servers. Infinityward was showboating with a big ass smirk on their face talking about their nice multiplayer features, but how the hell can anyone enjoy them if they can't play one single match. They expected millions of people to play this game, so they expected everyone to have a perfect 25mb per second connection? I guess we saw this coming when they announced there was no more dedicated server for the PC version. But after the release with all the millions they have made they would at least fix this, right? The worst part is I encounter this problem more on Xbox than I do on PS3, I paying fricking $60 for this crap a year! Give me a break. I believe this to be a bigger problem than all the glitching, because before you would enter the game and be getting raped, but now you can't even get into a damn game. Infinityward please fix this problem!

Is Sony becoming a little bit too uptight?

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 3:34 PM 0 comments

As we all know Sony does not like piracy, but it now seems that Sony is going a little overboard. From the PS3's seven layers of security to the several different types of PSP's. It seems Sony can't do anything to prevent people from hacking them, so they decide to change things up, punish those who haven't done anything. Sony and Game developers have worked together and have come up with voucher code. These codes are used to play online, and every single PSP will need one to play games online. So if you bought the game used, you will have to pay $20 to get the code. Sony is already doing this with the new Socom game, and this is only the beginning. I hate to see legitimate buyers penalized for this, and I think that Sony`s tactics are not acceptable. So what do you guys think? Do you think Sony is write or wrong? And is this method of preventing piracy an effective method?

Heavy Rain Review

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 1:34 PM 0 comments

Do you own a ps3? If you do you must buy this game. Heavy Rain has done what other games has desperately tried to do; make a great story. The story for this game is by far one of the most interesting and compelling I have ever played. Heavy Rain's story is full of emotions, surprises, and it will suck you right in. This is a very capturing game, with it's amazing development and interesting characters. Along with that the game adapts to you and what you do. This game offers many options to change the outcome and how the story progresses, you can play this game over and over again and still play a different a story every time. As well the game becomes more than repetitive through out the game with the same cut scene seen more than once. With all that, the graphics could have been better, the environment and player detail is great but the surrounding objects and the interacting objects could use work, all being low resolution makes it feel out of place. Finally the game play is awesome, you play through four different main characters, and no matter what happens(even death) the game still goes on, you will just miss out on some clues. This one button action game feels great, and naturally adapts to you. The controls are great, but will take time for you to adjust to. This game is really great, and is surely a contender for game of the year. I rate this game 8.8/10.

Bioshock 2 Review

10 years later, and the rapture is still the place to be. 2k's new edition of bioshock is simply outstanding, even tho the environment hasn't changed much and seems more familiar there are plenty of new additions and tweaks to make the game feel new. This cartoon and colorful art style is beautiful, but does not have the same attention to detail as the first. Bioshock 2 along with its stunning graphics the sound is just as good as ever, the sounds and how the story progresses with you listening while battling are amazing. There are still audio tapes scattered around the map to give you a more inside look to the in depth story. Even tho the story is not as mysterious as before it is more compelling and interesting. Another big change is you are now looking through the eyes of a Big Daddy! You are now teamed up with the strangest couple in gaming history, the little sisters. Along with being the Big Daddy 2k has tweaked with the gameplay, you are now able to use plasmids and your weapon at the same time, and adding a beat down option. There have been much more tweaks made to the game, but the most interesting one is to your plasmids. Upgrading your plasmids as the game progressed change and become much more powerful and sick. Finally the biggest difference from its predecessor, is the addition of the multiplayer. The mulitplayer is now in depth as other games, but this is mode is sure as hell fun. The similar upgrading system to COD, this game plays nicely and is fun with its many game types. The multiplayer is only a bonus to an already fantastic game. If you enjoyed the first game, you most definitely have to get this game, well even if you didn't play the first just buy this game cause it is just flat out awesome. I rate this game, 8.5/10.

8.5/10 "AWESOME"

The playstation 3 later on the year will be receiving their premium service: unlimited ps1 games, access to extra beta, online music service, videos, netflix and other playstation experiences. That is all fine and dandy but these services will cost you around $70 a year. If you really like those extra services you will have no problem getting it, but what the ps3 community really wanted since the beginning was cross game voice chat. It's been rumored that it will finally arrive!(about time)But this luxury will only come with the premium service. Why should anyone pay for this? The ps3 online service has always been free, and the servers have been fine, but when the community really wants something, and you starting charging them for it is just damn right outrageous! This really should be free, and come with the update. Sony may have been losing money per every console, but they can still afford to give us this one thing.

Many of us have been playing the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, but many of us find ourselves dying more frequently than others and this is really frustrating. For us Noobs we need all the help we can get. First of all, you will have to familiarize your self with the maps, you should know all the hots spots, and the most popular camping spots, this just comes with time. Another thing to remember every map is different, you will have to know what type of map it is whether it is a rushing, or sniping map. It is not smart to use a sniper on rust, I don't think you will last that long. Another important part to "not dieing" is knowing your gun, learn the best way to use it, the best attachments, and the range. Lot of beginner will use the ump to shoot a long distances, this will not work. But don't limit your self to one gun, use multiple guns, master them and use them when appropriate. Knowing these will surely increase your game, but there are also the little things that can bust you to the next level. If you keep dying from certain areas, do not go back there but try to take out those campers from long distances, also do not always run right through the map, since that's where most people would expect others to come from. If running around isn't your game trying "camping" take control of that certain area, camp it and pick off people going by, but when camping kill of a few people than switch your location so people won't expect you to be behind them when they run back to the same area. When "camping" fails we go back to tactical run and gun, the best way to do this is running around the outskirts of the map, and go behind them. While running around, I suggest using ninja pro, since sound is very important to the game as well, if you listen will you can hear people sneaking up behind you and you will be ready. If you can't be heard you are less likely to be noticed, that's why I also suggest using silencer on your gun so you can keep killing off enemies coming out of there spawn. Also being common sense take cover, and never run out into the open all willy nilly, you are just asking to get pumped in the face. Other than that you aim is the most important, if you keep missing you will never get any kills, so practice your aim, and to help you out start on the lowest sensitivity to get your a steady aim, and make it easier to be precise. As you progress I advise you to increase your sensitivity, since it is beneficial to play on a higher sensitivity. Well I hoped that helped, but basically all it takes it practice just keep playing and you will get better, since you can't suck forever right? Just remember if you can see them, they can see you!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Posted by Gamer Saggz On 9:47 AM 0 comments

What is there to say about this game? The most anticipated game of all time, has made more money than any movie has made in history, and has sold the more units than its predecessor Call of duty 4. First of all this game definitely lives up to all the hype, this game has everything you expected and more. The games visuals are absolutely amazing, the guns look dead on real, the environments are beautiful, and all the explosions you encounter are just mind blowing. This games look great, but the game play is even better. In this call of duty the AI is smarter, the game feels better, and still has the same game engine as call of duty 4. Also infinityward has fixed many of the little issues and bugs from call of duty 4. For this game, it seems infinityward focused more on game modes rather than the campaign. The campaign is great, but it doesn't live up to the call of duty legacy. The campaign is much shorter and the story is much harder to grasp on to. But yet again it is still fun to play, and fully action packed. Finally we come to the multiplayer, and yes it was possible to make it even better. This year they have introduced Spec Ops, where you and another friend can complete challenges and missions based off the campaign. Spec Ops is a lot of fun, and challenging. There are a variety of different missions you can complete, and you won't easily let go of this. The online game play this year is by far the best we have ever seen in many years. They still kept the same style, but just added bunch of stuff. Infinityward has introduced many new things as death streaks, custom kill streaks, titles, emblems and a bunch of new guns, such as the riot shield :P. The online game-play is much more balanced, and more fun to play. Also the game is more strategic do the custom kill streaks and the more diverse maps(more levels and depth). The death streaks help out a lot of the beginners, but really frustrate the other players who keep on killing them. Honestly you will have to shoot a whole clip on a person with pain killers. Also there are many glitches that were introduced early, such as the care package glitch, and exp glitches, these are really frustrating make the game unplayable at times. Other than some lag issues online, the multiplayer is absolutely amazing, and makes this one of the best shooters ever. This game is worth checking out to any type of gamer, I rate this game 9/10.

9/10 "SOO SICK!"
